Thanks to those who submitted nominations for candidates for the Board of Trustees of The Higher Learning Commission. A Nominating Committee of seven persons broadly representative of member institutions will screen the nominations and will name two candidates for each open position, based on the needs of the Board.

In order the make a more accurate determination of vacancies and needs, the Board has decided to delay the election of new trustees from January/February, as in recent years, to March/April. Ballots will be sent to the membership in late March or early April.

The Commission will open nominations for the 2011 Board election process in mid-2010.
